A Florida mother, Kelsey Glover, 35, has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of her 14-year-old daughter, Giselle Glover. Witnesses allege that Glover held her daughter's head underwater in a bathtub until she became unresponsive. The incident took place in a home in Poinciana, Florida, where deputies responded to calls of an "armed disturbance" associated with Glover.
"They tried to stop her but were not successful. Eventually, Ms. Glover began attacking and chasing these witnesses around the house with a hammer," Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said.
Upon arrival, officers found the disturbance still ongoing. They subdued Glover and took her into custody on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
Officials said that the charges could be upgraded to murder depending on the results of the autopsy, which will confirm the cause of Giselle's death.
Sheriff Lopez called it a "dark day when things like this happen. What happened to her is unimaginable, and we are determined to get justice for Giselle."
