Negotiating State Route 104 Sewer, and Ross County Fair Overview

The Ross County Commissioners addressed the next step in getting an extension of a sewer line from the state and federal facilities to the Ross County Fairgrounds, Union Heights subdivision, and Ross County Airport last Monday.

Their right-hand-man, County Administrator Brad Cosenza, explained the status of the State Route 104 Sewer plan to me, as well as the start of plans to renovate the exterior of the Ross County Courthouse – and as president of the Ross County Agricultural Society, how the Ross County Fair went – on August 12th, 2024.

The Ross County Commissioners had discussed the request for proposals they had sent out, which garnered only one response for a “Risk Manager” to serve a general contractor. The proposed price was high, but Cosenza said that this is all part of negotiations for a project this big.

The first draft of the plans to renovate the exterior of the courthouse were also sitting in the commissioners’ office, so I asked him about that, too.

And as the head of the previous week’s 2024 Ross County Fair, I sought his after-action report. He was able to give only impressions…so far. The  fair board meets tonight and should give a solid public report then.
