Ross County — On June 17th, the Sheriff’s Office was called on a suspicious vehicle in the area of Three Locks Road just south of US 23 that had sheet metal strapped to its roof.
A pole barn on the property had been stripped of metal, but 32-year-old Cody Allen Kimbler of Trego Creek Road and 37-year-old Michael C. Butterbaugh of Massieville Road, with the van, said they found the metal on the ground and just picked it up.
But, the property owner identified a tote sitting by the vehicle as having been in the pole barn.
For indictments on fifth-degree felony breaking and entering, they could get up to a year and $2,500 in fines. They were also indicted for misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor receiving stolen property for the tote.
