A local business family is helping with the upcoming fourth-annual “World’s Largest Diaper Drive” in the first week of May.
The Herlihy family is inviting Ross County and the Scioto Valley to a free kick-off banquet this Tuesday, February 27th, at Bell Manor southeast of Chillicothe. Doors open at 6pm. Register for the event by sending an email to rsvp_chillicothe@bottomsup.life.
Bell Manor is is a wedding and conference center at 739 Musgrove Road, off Old US Route 35 south of Southeastern Schools.
This is not a fundraising event, although there will be an opportunity to financially support the “Bottoms Up Diaper Bank” based in Lancaster. Learn more on their Facebook page or contact Jo at 740 / 808-6131.
They report that Bishop Flaget Catholic School has collected 6,890 diapers at their recent diaper drive, including many size 4, 5, and 6 diapers, the greatest need for Bottoms Up. “The Kindergartners were proud of achieving their goal of reaching the ceiling with their diaper donations.”
Bottoms Up is part of the “World’s Largest Diaper Drive” which has member diaper banks and organizations in 10 states. There are also 13 public collection locations in Ross County.
