The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 13 of their cases Friday, February 2nd, 2024, with four open for release to the public. From testimony in the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:
On January 14th, Chillicothe police officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Toledo Street on a report of burglary.
The victim said 21-year-old Hank A. Gordon, the father of her child, showed up at her residence but she told him to leave. He became angry and tried to enter the front door, but it was locked.
Gordon then used a child’s scooter to break a window in the back door, and entered. He pushed and shoved her and eventually left with her phone.
Gordon was found later in a shed at another residence, where he had been living. He admitted he was determined to enter and had broken the window.
For an indictment on burglary, he could get up to eight years and $15,000 in fines.
