Republican Women of Ross County Introduce Candidates in Annual Dinner

The Republican Women of Ross County held their Annual Dinner Thursday and provided an introduction to many candidates running in the spring election.

Julie Lambert, chair of the Republican Women, gave me an overview at the end of the event that you can hear that in the below video. The event featured a raffle and silent auction in the fairgrounds multipurpose building.

Lambert numbered the attending Republican candidates who were given a few minutes to introduce themselves in contested races:

  • Four candidates running for two Ross County Commissioner seats
  • Two candidates running for Ross County Clerk of Courts
  • Eight of the 14 candidates running for Brad Wenstrup’s Second Congressional District

Lambert said the Republican Women are hosting lunchtime “meet & greets” with Second Congressional District candidates. These are at their headquarters in the former Cellar Room antique store, at the corner of Water and High streets in Chillicothe.

The Republican Women will also assist with the Lincoln Day Dinner at the Bell Manor event center on March 7th.

Spring Election Day, including primary candidates, will be March 19th.
