Ross Commissioners Sign Off on Subdivision Extension to Allow New Houses

The Ross County Commissioners signed off on the last phase of review for the completion of a subdivision…which will allow the possibility of new homes this summer.

The builders of “Sherman Heights” subdivision on the south end of Egypt Pike appeared before the commissioners Tuesday, with county planner Devon Shoemaker guiding the brief final process.

He said with the commissioners’ signatures, the developers can move ahead with construction on 48 lots, after starting the process to build this “Block C” extension in 2017.

Shoemaker said they might have homes available for occupancy early this summer. He said this is the only batch of single-family homes in-process right now…and that the county is in critical need of housing.
