The fall lecture that the Ross County Historical Society had set for November 30th has been rescheduled for Thursday evening.
The second and last fall lecture by the Ross County Historical Society, “The Barn Builders – An Architectural Legacy in Ohio’s Rural Landscape,” will start at 6:30pm December 21st, 2023.
Presenter Tom O’Grady is the Director of Outreach at the Southeastern Ohio History Center in Athens and a member of the Friends of Ohio Barns.
“Culture groups migrating from the Middle Atlantic states and from the South settled in various regions of Ohio, and their distinct farms and barns can be observed when traveling throughout the state.
“The barn builders have left an architectural legacy throughout rural Ohio that can help one understand much about the heritage of the region.”
