At the Willis-James Bed & Breakfast on Friday, Chillicothe was honored by the Governor's office, the Ohio Department of Development, and Representative Mark Johnson, for the city's place on Site Selection Magazine's "Top Micropolitan" list for 2022.
Tammy Eallonardo, Economic Development Director for Greater Chillicothe & Ross County Development, noted it was a record-setting year with 22 total projects.
The four qualifying projects that earned GCRCD this designation were:
- Kenworth Truck's Test Building: $44M Capital Investment
- Pixelle #24 machine restart: $21M Capital Investment
- Chillicothe Steel's new building: $2.2M Capital Investment
- Howmet building renovation - $1.5M Capital Investment
Eallonardo also said that Ross County is fortunate to have companies who are excited to invest in the community's future, and that Greater Chillicothe & Ross County Development is fortunate to have investors who make their support possible.
