Awards and Camaraderie at Chillicothe Ross Chamber 2023 Annual Banquet

The Chamber's Annual Banquet was May 9th, 2023, and Kevin Coleman was there.

The Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce held their yearly gathering at Bell Manor again, near Richmond Dale.

Chamber president and CEO Mike Throne said their membership is swelling rapidly. They had 100 new members in the last half of 2022, out of only 754 total. Throne attributes that to redevelopment of the downtown and growth of businesses there. (Hear Kevin's interview with Thone below.)

In their annual awards for top businesses, the Legacy Award went to the Scioto Society, the producers of "Tecumseh!" (They won Corporate Citizenship last year.)

Entrepreneur of the Year was Ken Shelton of the Ryan Group, Staff Source, Digital Fix, and Southern Ohio Shredding.

Dwell Real Estate won Corporate Citizenship. Taylor Carnes of Shelter Insurance was the Young Professional

Special Recognition for Health Care Legacy and Community Legacy went to Dr. Jack Berno of Adena Heath System...which was accepted by his widow.

    The Chamber's Annual Banquet was May 9th, 2023. The Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce held their yearly gathering at Bell Manor again, and gave out their five awards. Scioto Society Producer and CEO Brandon Smith asked everyone in attendance to stand if they were involved with the outdoor drama "Tecumseh!" in some way, including sponsorship and purchases. About 75% stood.
