The independent 2024 candidate for mayor of Chillicothe introduced herself Tuesday night, and Kevin Coleman was there.
Jade Berry is an upbeat and energetic business owner and volunteer. In her campaign kickoff event, she gave her vision for the city - to bring unity to it.
Berry says she doesn't want change in Chillicothe as much as enlarging its community support system. She says Chillicothe has one of the best she has ever seen.
A native of California, Berry says she moved her family to Chillicothe from Louisiana three years ago after only a brief and impressive visit.
Berry is the owner of "The Stack" shop in "The Fort Collective" building, a four-year-old co-op at the corner of Mulberry and Second streets. Among her volunteer effort is the "Life Ready" program to prepare youth and young adults for employment and adult finances.
