The Land Bank took quick action in a special meeting Monday morning. Kevin Coleman was there.
The public commission met earlier then expected to take advantage of a couple of time-sensitive opportunities.
Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney, president of the Ross County Land Bank, said one is a house damaged by fire on State Route 772. The owner was behind in taxes and offered it to the Lank Bank.
The other property is on West Sixth Street in Chillicothe, where a house was mostly demolished, but the new owner decided against finishing the job. The Land Bank had wanted it earlier, and took the new offer, using leftover funds from a grant.
Feeney says the Land Bank is open to cleaning up properties, including out in the county, and owners are welcome to contact the public commission.
