Ross County has a new Health Commissioner. Kevin Coleman was at the Ross County Commissioners session Monday morning where she introduced herself.
Janelle McManis says she has been in public health for 20 years, and has switched from leading Vinton County health to leading Ross County health.
She said it was fitting for her to return to her birthplace and early home, Ross County.
McManis said Ross is, of course, larger than Vinton, but the health district has a similar organization - which will give the opportunity to serve a larger public.
She started the job in Ross County a month ago, and says she will continue the "forward progression" that she sees here.
