You may have heard about the "Great Backyard Bird Count" last Saturday in our WBEX show "In the Garden with Ron Wilson."
Wilson spoke with his regular guest Monica Brubaker from Wild Birds Unlimited. She said you can be a citizen scientist with a simple activity this weekend.
Record the number of birds and number of species for at least 15 minutes, and then enter those numbers in the GBBC website through your computer or smartphone.
Brubaker said you can count anywhere, like at a park, and for as many times as you want.
The Great Backyard Bird Count runs this Friday through Monday (February 17-20). Hear the entire show wherever you can find the "In the Garden with Ron Wilson" podcast.
