The state plans to repave two roads in Tar Hollow State Forest in Ross County and replace 39 culverts under them. Forest Roads 10 and 16, both in the vicinity of the park lodge, will be closed for the duration of the project, and detours will be determined at a later date.

Public Comment Period Open for
Tar Hollow Resurfacing and Culvert Replacements
CHILLICOTHE – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation—District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a resurfacing and culvert replacement project inside Tar Hollow State Forest in Ross County.
ROS-Forest Roads 10 and 16 (PID: 111274) It is proposed to resurface forest roads 10 and 16. The project will also replace 39 culverts along both roads inside of Tar Hollow State Forrest in Ross County, Ohio.
No new right-of-way will be needed for the project.
No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.
The roadways will be closed for the duration of the project. The detour will be determined at a later date.
The funding for the project is 100% State.
