Chillicothe Council considered two financial issues last night. Kevin Coleman was there.
The city has not decided how much the water rate will increase, but they need to set it soon to start financing the sewer plant renovation.
City auditor Crystal Spetnagel says since it will be such a big rate model on rebuilding the wastewater treatment plant, the city needs to gat a loan, and then requires reliable income for the facility.
Council also gave the 2023 budget its first reading, adding it to the agenda...and voted to meet in special session next Monday...so the budget could go through its third reading when it is passed in their their final end-of year session December 26th.
