"Shine On Chillicothe" 2022 Starts Bigger than Ever Friday Night

Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park is set to be lit up starting Friday night. Our Kevin Coleman spoke to the co-chair of "Shine on Chillicothe."

Thanks to an all-woman committee, and large and small donors, the Christmas light display is bigger than ever, with thousands of dollars of string lights.

Terressa Reep says this Friday night's lighting ceremony will be short, with Santa arriving on a horse-drawn sleigh. She says carolers and a hot chocolate wagon will also be there at Paint and Water streets.

The event will be part of the start of the Downtown Chillicothe Holiday Open House this weekend. Although the park is set up as a sparkling drive-through, it will be open only for walking Friday night.

The light show also happens to be first on the list on the Ohio Holiday Lights Trail website.
