New Representative for Chillicothe Council's 6th Ward

Chillicothe Council has yet another new representative for the 6th Ward. Kevin Coleman spoke with him after Monday's council session.

Jamie Brown has lived on Douglas Avenue for about a year and a half after moving from Lancaster. In his first council session, he is the third representative in that seat in about two years.

Is the 6th Ward jinxed? He says no, and that he is committed long-term to the job.

Tara Gillum was originally elected to the seat, with Nina Park replacing her. Both cited increased work as reasons for resigning.

Brown approached the Ross County Democratic Party central committee to represent the East End after seeing that the council seat was vacant.

He feels there is some bias against Chillicothe's East End, and he hopes to not only speak for his neighbors, but help them speak for themselves.
