Along with Senior Citizens' Services, the other Ross County tax levy renewal in the November 8th election is Children's Services. Kevin Coleman spoke with volunteers for that campaign at the League of Women Voters "Candidates' Night" Tuesday.
Volunteer Amy Van Voorhis is the chair of the Children's Services Renewal Levy. She says she has a passion for children who been abused or neglected.
She says the cost of caring for foster children has increased, but they are not asking for an increase of the levy. Van Voorhis says the levy costs costs little more than $24 a year per $100,000 valuation.
