The Ross County Historical Society has several events coming up in the next few weeks.
For members, the annual meeting is Monday, April 25th. It includes recognition of scholarship recipients and "First Capital History Awards." Among the latter are "Shine On Chillicothe" and the Neil Johnson Statue Committee.
The first of the Spring Speakers Series is 7:30pm Wednesday, April 27th, when General Ulysses S. Grant returns for his 200th birthday. Two more speakers will follow, on May 11th and 25th.
The Ross County Historical Society will also host the return of "Archaeology Day" during Saturday, May 10th, with the theme "Rocks, Artifacts and Fossils – Clues to Ross County’s Prehistoric Story."
