Ross Grand Jury Indicts for Interfering in High School Basketball Game

A Londonderry man has been indicted by the Ross County Grand Jury for interfering in a high school basketball game and assaulting two officers in early December.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office, 19-year-old Aarick E. Hill, of Londonderry, is alleged to have wandered out onto the court during the game, disrupting both players and fans, in a boy’s high school basketball game between the Unioto Shermans and the Zane Trace Pioneers at Unioto High School on December 10th.

The Prosecutor’s Office says two Ross County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to remove Hill from the building, and he's reported to have fought with them, assaulting them in the process.

Hill faces two fourth-degree felony counts of assault following Friday’s Grand Jury session. If convicted, he faces anywhere from 6 to 18 months along with a $5-thousand fine.
