The single-vehicle crash happened just after 3pm yesterday afternoon on Beaver Pike. 28-year-old Jessica Crabtree of Jackson was eastbound in a 2003 Buick Century on Beaver Pike when it went off the roadway, struck a culvert, and then overturned into a nearby creek.
Crabtree suffered serious injuries and was flown to Grant Hospital in Columbus. A passenger in the front seat of the car, 17-year-old Nikilia Dale, also of Jackson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other passengers, both juveniles who were in the backseat, suffered serious injuries and were also flown from the scene, both to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.
The Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says the accident remains under investigation.
