After being postponed from last Friday, the Ross County Grand Jury returned 17 of their 18 cases.
Only two were open.
In one, according to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, on January 1st Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a 9-1-1 hangup on George Hollow Road, where 34-year-old Zane Roosa answered the door and said his three-year-old accidently dialed the phone.
But deputies observed blood on the carpet and on Roosa's foot, and found a woman hiding behind clothes in a bathroom, with major injuries to her head and face.
She said Roosa had become jealous with her, and upon arriving home pulled her out of the car by her hair, punched her in the face, ribs, and hips, slammed her into the gravel, then carried her into the bathroom where she called 911.
She was treated for seven injuries at Grant Medical Center.
