Pioneer School Transitioning to Remote Learning Because of COVID Cases

The Ross County Pioneer School has transitioned to remote learning because of a rise in local COVID cases.

In a news release, Community Outreach Director Courtney Lewis said the Pioneer School will remain on remote learning through Tuesday, December 21st, which would be the start of Christmas break. This includes both the Pioneer School and the Pioneer Preschool at Mt. Logan.

Additionally, the Pioneer School’s annual Santa Night for this evening has been cancelled.

Local COVID cases had climbed during the month of September but dropped back to lower levels at the end of October. Cases again have been increasing steadily at the local level since early November.
