You can call them the Guardians from now on - the Major League Baseballl team is now officially known as the Cleveland Guardians. The club transitions to its new nickname today.
Cleveland had been known as the Indians since 1915, but decided to change their nickname last December, and they chose the Guardians moniker in July.
They will share it with a local roller derby after the two teams reached an "amicable resolution."
