After 14 years, Angelica Vences-Salgado was reunited with her daughter, who was kidnapped when she was just six years oldJacqueline Hernandez was allegedly abducted by her father, Pablo Hernandez, on December 22, 2007, and authorities believed he fled to Mexico with his daughter.

Vences-Salgado recently received a message on social media from a woman claiming to be her daughter. She said that she was in Mexico and wanted to meet her mother. Working with multiple federal and state agencies, including the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the Central Florida Intelligence Exchange, and Homeland Security Investigations, Vences-Salgado was able to confirm the woman's story and planned to meet her daughter at a border point of entry in Laredo, Texas.

On September 10, the two were finally reunited, and the Clermont Police Department shared a photo of the two embracing.

"This is a prime example of what can be accomplished when multiple law enforcement agencies and their respective communities work cooperatively together and maintain open lines of communication," Clermont Police Chief Charles Broadway said in a statement. "In this case, several agencies in different counties and states across the nation were able to create a force multiplier and aid in reuniting the victim with her mother after 14 years."

Officials said there is an active warrant for Pablo Hernandez, and he is believed to still be in Mexico.
