This month's show at the Pump House Center for the Arts pairs up 16-year-old and 79-year-old women artists.
Sharon Hille doesn't have a studio, so she finds that colored pencils are a handy way to express herself.
Her art on display shows a pattern of Egyptian, then flower, themes. She admits she "gets on kicks" or "streaks" in her art...and is searching for a new one.
Sharon was schooled in art, but regrets not indulging in it until late in life. She has advice for anyone young in spirit: "All you artists out there - don't give it up! Keep doing it!"
She is a Kentuckian, but later moved to Dayton.
Savannah Fout returns to the art gallery after winning ribbons in "The Best of Ross County" a few months ago.
The high school junior is sharing the gallery with retired teacher Sharon, but met her only a few days ago, while setting up the show. Savannah was pleased at how they share the medium of colored pencils, but have different styles with it.
Savannah has a good repertoire of human figures, and says she is currently experimenting with challenging stage lighting of faces.
