Chillicothe Council approves naming of local alley way

A local alley has been named. At Monday night's regular session, Chillicothe City Council members waived the three-read rule to pass an ordinance that names the alley situated east of the Carver Community Center "McIntyre Alley".

That location is now named after Carver Community Center's founder, Marjorie McIntyre.

Council also passed an ordinance to appropriate $20,091.34 from the HUD Housing Revolving Loan Fund to use in a CHIP grant owner rehabilitation project, as well as resolutions to allocate $7,283 as participating local funds for the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission and to allow for the application of the city's participation in the CDBG Community Development Allocation Program.
