A modest crowd attended the start of Memorial Day ceremonies in Ross County's cemeteries yesterday morning.
In Grandview Cemetery, the Veterans Honor Guard gave a rifle salute, raised the flag and then lowered it to half-mast, and played taps...in the minimal event at the end of COVID restrictions.
The honor guard them moved on to other cemeteries, while the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War briefly visited five graves in Grandview.
