Chillicothe Council Committee: Rickshaw a Possibility in Chillicothe?

The City Service / Transit Committee met on the off-night of Chillicothe Council.

One curious item that chair Courtney Lewis brought up was an inquiry for a new kind of taxi. She said a businessman had asked what might be needed to start a "pedi-cab" bicycle taxi.

Lewis continued to discuss updating taxicab and limo regulations in the age of Uber and Lift.

Other items discussed were requests for automatic door openers at Transit to help the elderly, and possible fees to help support trash and recycling bins.

Council will meet in their second in-person session after a year of Zoom meetings, in old City Hall the evening of next Monday, May 24th.

Chillicothe Council president Bruce Arnold created a video using a "new production platform." Council's videos continue to be shown and recorded on Facebook Live.
