(Frankfort, Ross County) -- Denny Hammond is an Algebra teacher at Adena High School located in Ross County. He was recently honored by the Ohio Lottery as a Teacher of the Month for the Partners in Education program.
Peer teacher Tara Mess says, “Mr. Hammond teaches Algebra in our high school. To some, this would seem quite boring. However, he uses technology as often and in as many ways as he can to try to keep the kids engaged since this is what they are all into these days. He provides the students with guided notes to help them stay focused while not becoming overwhelmed. He is very good at providing the students with lots of examples and the individual help when needed.”
For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Hammond will receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery along with a gift card.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year. For more information about the program and to submit a nomination, go to https://ohiolottery.com/SupportingEducation. They are now accepting submissions online.
