The Pickaway County Sheriff's department gave alerts on an evacuation Monday afternoon.
At 1:42pm, residents of Graystone Villas in Circleville were told to evacuate because of a large gas leak, and could stand by at the old Carnival foods store until further notice from Circleville Fire.
About 3pm, residents south of Graystone Boulevard were allowed back in their residences, and at 6pm residents of Graystone Villas could return home after first meeting with Columbia Gas representives on-site before entry.
The Scioto Post reports law enforcement dispatch showed a construction crew hit a gas line about 1:15pm.
