The Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce is encouraging all major employers to participate in an opportunity to contribute to a local workforce study.
As they report in "The Chamber Connection" for Feb. 23, input from companies and individuals will help identify ways to improve the approach. A 90-minute virtual session 1:30 Thursday afternoon will gather that firsthand perspective.
To participate, go to http://www.scoworkforcepartnership.org/learning-sessions.html. If you have questions, email Hannah.Heimberger@FairfieldCountyOhio.gov.
As they describe themselves on their website, the South Central Ohio Workforce Partnership serves as the Area 20 Workforce Development Board. The Board is responsible for setting goals and priorities for the area and the disbursement of funds for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
The Partnership sets policies on how funding is used for Adults, Dislocated Workers, and Youth that are eligible for WIOA funds. This funding is used for training and placement of individuals with local employers.
Area 20 is comprised of Fairfield, Hocking, Pickaway, Ross, and Vinton counties.
