Chillicothe Council met in review session Monday night, and spent an hour and a half discussing possibly hiring an assistant law director - who in part might help train police officers for court testimony.
Law Director Anna Villareal said the issue came up recently and is a "very serious problem" even in the face of other city vacant positions. Committee chair Dustin Proehl said he needed to consult with the police chief before the next discussion.
Ceil Corcoran also mentioned seeking a grant to expand the Adena Recreational trail to the Coppel Soccer Complex at Veteran's Parkway.
