Chillicothe Council members passed five pieces of legislation -- all after waiving the three-read rule -- during their February 8th meeting.
Ordinances passed appropriated $296,626.48 as brought forward grant funds from 2020; bond series funds not spent in 2019; and funds for expenditures in 2021 that were not included in the temporary budget; re-appropriating $46,062 for technology upgrades at the City Administration Building; authorizing the Safety Service Director to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for supplies, maintenance, and equipment repair.
Also on Monday, council members removed an agenda item that would allocate $64,445.42 for an assistant law director's position. A review session to "work out the details" regarding the proposed ordinance will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 15th.
