Governor DeWine says his proposed state budget for the 2022-2023 biennium includes a new billion-dollar initiative called "Investing in Ohio's Future."
DeWine unveiled the budget yesterday with a one-time expenditure investing 500-million-dollars in relief to businesses hurt by the pandemic, and 450-million-dollars for infrastructure and broadband internet access projects. The Governor says 50-million dollars would be used in marketing campaigns to draw people and businesses to the state.
The new budget also increases vehicle registration and title fees to shore up funding for the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
