The Ross County Grand Jury returned 14 of their 13 cases Friday, with three open.

In one, local law enforcement was notified August 23rd where 25-year-old Jeremy L. Bowen of Columbus might be found in a vehicle stolen from Wood County.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, he was found on State Route 41 north of Bainbridge, but took off in the vehicle, reaching 80 miles an hour and dodging traffic. He went north to State Route 28, east to US 50 and into Chillicothe on Western Avenue, across town on Main Street where he struck a police cruiser, and north onto US 23...where he drove the wrong way in southbound lanes.

Bowen crashed the vehicle on River Road and escaped on foot, but was arrested several days later.

For indictments on failure to comply and felonious assault, Bowen could get up to 14 years and $30,000 in fines.

In another, police officers responded to a call at Harbor Freight on Bridge Street June 12th about a car with five occupants waving guns.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, 18-year-old Jadrien Graves of Chillicothe was a rear passenger, and his car seat was found to be unsecured. In its underside were two functional Glock handguns with high-capacity magazines.

Graves did not have CCW permits, had rounds for both on his person, and eventually admitted he had hid the guns there.

For indictments on carrying concealed weapons, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, Graves could get up to 18 months and $5,000 in fines.
