The Cavaliers and the Wheelersburg Pirates only managed one offensive play Friday night and will resume play Saturday at 6pm.
The start of the game was delayed two hours and after the Pirates kicked off, Chillicothe ran one offensive play.
Wheelersburg picked off a Cavs’ pass over the middle and returned it to the Cavalier 20 yard line. Just as Wheelersburg was to run their first play, lightning was detected again forcing both teams off the field with 11:49 remaining in the opening quarter.
The game will resume on Saturday back in Chillicothe at the “O”.
