As the federal government and states start talking more about a plan to get the nation running again following a 30-day shutdown due to COVID-19, we spoke with Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney about what possible "heads-up" they might get prior to the actual order.
While the mayor says they do stay in contact with the governor's office and groups like the state mayor's league, they don't get tipped-off any earlier than the rest of us as to when the state will begin it's start up of business and schools.
Mayor Feeney says the city is doing what it can to not only keep the city functioning as is, but also being prepared when word does come from the state and federal government to start moving toward a "start-up".

During the COVID-19 Stay-At-Home order from the governor, Mayor Feeney says he's also making the most of an opportunity to stay in contact with local government, business and education leaders. And, in doing this, he's making those talks available for all of us to see and hear.
