Pioneer Center Art Showcased at Pump House for March

March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness month, and that is being highlighted at the Pump House center for the Arts in Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park.

Courtney Lewis is the Communications Outreach Director for the Pioneer Center, which includes the Pioneer School, and more: adult day programs, First Capital Enterprises, Easter Seals, and Goodwill.

All the art is for sale through the end of the show March 27th, and benefits their programs.

Another item available are T-shirts. Lewis explains why this year's theme looks like a Ball canning jar - the theme is "Label Jars, Not People" - because they want to put the person first, not their disability.

You can learn more on their website and on their Facebook page.
