Ross Grand Jury Indicts for High-Speed Chase on Bike Path, Fight at Door

The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 32 of their cases Friday, with six open.

A high-speed chase included part of the recreational trail west of Chillicothe. According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, on the evening of October 15th officers responded to a report of a burglary on Legend Drive off Clinton Road. But, the driver turned onto the bike path behind the gas station at Pleasant Valley Road, and reached 55 miles an hour before turning onto Larrick Lane and the US 35 on-ramp...then got off at High Street and looped around, to finally stop at Buckeye Street after a passenger jumped out and the SUV was breaking down. Officers found a loaded shotgun by the driver's seat.

For indictments on failure to comply, concealed weapons, and weapons under disability for a domestic violence conviction...32-year-old Trenton S. Kuhn could get up to 4 1/2 years and $15,000 in fines. The original call was from his sister...who declined to press aggravated burglary charges.

In another, according to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office on December 29th, 47-year-old Andreas I. Krallis appeared at the door of a house on North Mulberry Street where he asked the woman resident to speak to her daughter. She came back downstairs after a loud noise to find he had rushed into the house and was assaulting her daughter. She beat him out the door with a snow shovel, but he kicked the door in, and both mother and daughter fought to push him back out and secure the deadbolt...before calling 9-1-1.

For the indictment on burglary, Krallis could get up to eight years and $15,000 in fines.
