Chillicothe Overwhelms McClain 79-34

With State Champion Cincinnati Moeller and FAC co-leader Jackson coming up later this week, there might have been some thought to overlook McClain. There was no loss of focus for the Cavaliers as they raced out to a 25-2 lead after one quarter and cruised to a home win.

.

Chillicothe starters only played the first and third quarters and in those 16 minutes the Cavs out scored the young Tigers 50-6.

.

All 14 Cavaliers saw action and nine got in the scoring column. As it has been for all FAC games, the Cavs forced McClain mistakes, got in transition mode and dominated the contest.

.

Brandon Noel led the way with 18 points in 2 quarters. Jayvon Maughmer added 16, Vincent Roper had 10, and Kam Smith put up a career best 15 off the bench.

.

The Tigers bright spot was two sophomores getting in double figures with Bryson Badgley hitting for 10 and Braden Wright had 11.

.

The Cavaliers are now 7-0 and 4-0 in FAC play. McClain falls to 2-5.

.

It is a huge week end for Eric Huffer’s crew as they host defending State Champion Moeller on Friday night and go to Jackson on Saturday. Jackson is also 4-0 in conference play.

.

You can hear both games on News Radio WBEX 1490AM/92/7FM and iHeart Radio.
