It didn't take long for former Adena Baseball Coach Tom Barr to find a new position, as the Chillicothe Board of Education has selected him as their new head baseball coach.
Barr had a high school record of (70-43) at Adena High School the last four years, where he piloted the Warriors to three district tournament appearances. He also has led the American Legion Post 757 baseball program for 11 years.
In a CHS Athletic Department press release, Barr stated; "I'm excited to be part of the Cavaliers baseball program. I've had an opportunity to work with some of the guys in the summer and I'm looking forward to getting started. We will be evaluating every aspect of the baseball program from middle school up and bringing several coaches in to help build respect, sportsmanship and a high work ethic."
Chillicothe High School Athletic Director Mike Barren stated; "We are committed to hire coaches for all of our teams that have the capability to lead our student-athletes to success on an off the playing field. We believe Tom Barr will continue the development started by his predecessors and take our baseball program to the next level."
