Learn about the age of textiles and rarity of a fossil shark tooth from a prehistoric mound, Tuesday evening.
Geologist George Colvin will give the presentation on the Westenhaver Mound in Pickaway County, excavated between 1879 and 1884.
He's the guest of the Mound City chapter of the Ohio Archaeological Society, meeting 7pm Spetember 10th at Hopewell Culture National Historical Park north of Chillicothe.

Also 7pm Tuesday evening, the Ross County Genealogical Society hosts their first meeting at their new location, 303 South Paint Street in Chillicothe.
The program for September will be Ross County 4-H members presenting their 4-H Genealogy Projects. Refreshments will be served after the program.
