Chillicothe Boys & Girls Swim Coach Wendy Arth has died, unexpectedly.

A post on the Chillicothe Cavaliers Swim team Facebook Page confirms the death and states: “I am saddened to inform everyone of the unexpected passing of coach Wendy Arth. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.”

Chillicothe City Schools Superintendent Deborah Swinehart issued a statement Friday morning.
"The Chillicothe City School District Board of Education, staff, students and parents are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Wendy Arth," Swinehart writes. "Wendy has been a devoted mother, coach, and active member of the Cavalier community. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Arth Family."

The cause of death is not yet known. Arth had recently celebrated her 50th birthday.
