If it has been a while since you have served as a juror in Chillicothe Municipal Court, you need to know of a big change that has been implemented by the court, concerning the amount of time you serve per term.
Starting in 2018, jury duty that used to be for a one month commitment, now is a one week jury service.
Chillicothe Municipal Judge Toni Eddy says she, along with Judge John B. Street and the court staff, were thinking of ways to make it easier for potential jurors to serve without having to take so much time away from employment responsibilities along with other commitments.
Eddy says thus far, the jurors that have served since the change was made, have been "very positive about the new system".
