CHS Cavs Volleyball Splits Tri-Match, Saturday

The Chillicothe Boys Volleyball team continued their season Saturday with a pair of matches against Olentangy Berlin and Briggs High Schools.

The Cavaliers began with a dominating victory over Olentangy Berlin in straight sets 25-18, 25-7. The Cavs tallied 27 kills from multiple hitters, 7 aces, while hitting at a 0.306 efficiency rating.

The Cavs then suffered their first loss of the young season, falling 2-1 to Briggs (16-25, 25-16, 25-22).

“There are a lot of positives we can take from today” said Coach Andrew Vitatoe. “We had a plan and we executed it well, we just had a few points go against us in that last set. We served well, we passed well, and we had a good positive attack efficiency. Our guys are working really hard every week, and we are seeing the results on the court every match.”

The Cavalier Boys Volleyball team will travel to Edgewood and Miamisburg this week before competing in the Middletown Purple Reign Tournament next Saturday.
