Chillicothe Business Development Brings Traffic Challenges

Business development in Chillicothe continues, which is good news for the community. However, along with the good, comes the challenge of how to handle traffic flow in-and-around those new businesses.

Mayor Luke Feeney says where city streets are also shared by state routes, the Ohio Department of Transportation has some input on how those entrances are created.

Mayor Feeney says among the challenges in Chillicothe are the already crowded Bridge Street and the new development being seen on Western Avenue.

In a related note, the mayor says the city is proceeding with changing Second Street to two-way traffic between Paint and Mulberry, but motorists probably won't realize that change until the city is ready to repave that section of street.
