(24/7 News) -- Local children's dentists are talking about a new treatment that helps them deal with cavities in really-young kids.
-
Doctor Joe Castellano from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry says it's a liquid that's placed on the cavity.
-
The only downside is that the cavity area turns black. Doctor Castellano says a first dental visit at age-one is critical to future dental health. He also says nursing bottles sent to bed with young children should never contain anything but water, and older kids should avoid sugary snacks like fruit pouches and granola bars.
