SR 159 Power Line Relocation Delayed to Next Week

Although utility crews were scheduled to be relocating power lines along State Route 159 in Ross County this week, the project has been postponed until next week, and the route remains open without restrictions.

ODOT reports that crews from AEP will be moving utility lines at the junction of S.R. 159 and Delano Road beginning Monday, March 18, through Wednesday, March 20.

At that time S.R. 159 will be reduced to one lane, from about 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers and law enforcement officers while crews are at work.

The utility line relocation is being conducted in advance of a project in which contractors will be constructing turn lanes, installing a new signal and extending a culvert at the routes’ intersection this summer.
